2. General

We process personal data only within the scope permitted by law or where consent has been given. This website uses no cookies and no advertising or retargeting tracking (e.g. no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel). It does use a self-operated, cookie-less usage-analytics system and a contact form — both described below under points 6 and 8.

3. Website hosting

This website is hosted via GitHub Pages, a service provided by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (a Microsoft Corporation company). When you visit the website, the hosting provider automatically processes technical access data (including IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser used) in server log files.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable technical operation of the website). As GitHub Inc. is based in the US, this may involve a transfer of data to a third country. GitHub has contractually committed to complying with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Further information: GitHub Privacy Statement.

4. Fonts

All fonts used on this website are stored locally on our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external font service, and therefore no transmission of your data to such providers.

5. Language preference

Your selected language is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage, so it can be restored on a later visit. This information never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or to any third party. As this is a technically necessary function, no consent is required under §165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG 2021).

6. Contact form

If you use the contact form on this website, the data you enter (name, if given, email address, chosen topic and message text) along with supplementary technical data (timestamp, language setting, page visited, your browser's user agent) is transmitted to and stored in our internal customer relationship management area (CRM) in order to process and respond to your inquiry.

The processor for this storage is Supabase, Inc. (database region Frankfurt, Germany/EU — this involves no transfer to a third country). Only RIMA Equity's owners have access to the CRM, via a password-protected login. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR (pre-contractual measures, or legitimate interest in responding to inquiries). The data is deleted once it is no longer required to process your inquiry, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.

7. Direct contact by email

If you contact us directly by email instead, the data you provide (including your email address and, where applicable, your name and the content of your message) is processed solely for the purpose of handling your inquiry. The legal basis and retention period are the same as under point 6.

8. Usage analytics (statistics)

We collect anonymous usage statistics (page visited, referring page/referrer, language setting, broad device category such as mobile/tablet/desktop). No IP address is stored and no cookies are set. A randomly generated session ID is held only in your browser's session storage (not persistent — it is cleared when the tab or browser is closed) and serves solely to count unique visits within one browsing session; we cannot link it to your identity.

This data is likewise stored via Supabase, Inc. (Frankfurt region, EU, no third-country transfer) and is viewed only by RIMA Equity's owners in an internal statistics area. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in analysing and improving our website).

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

You may withdraw any consent given at any time, with effect for the future, by contacting hello@rimaequity.com.

10. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority:

Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde)
Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, Austria

11. Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy to reflect changes in law or changes to our service and data processing.
